Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ikeduru local government area of Imo state and the party House of Representatives candidate’s father, Prince Charles Amadi popularly known as (Charlvon) has cursed the people of Mbaitoli/Ikeduru federal constituency for collecting election intervention funds from him and later turned against his son and APC candidate, Engr Akarachi Amadi during the February 25th presidential and National Assembly elections.
Prince Amadi was said to have cursed his people during a leadership meeting weekend at his country home, Eziama ahead of the forthcoming re-run election.
Addressing Mbaitoli/Ikeduru leaders, Prince Amadi told them point blank that the monies collected from him and later voted against his son would turn into poison for them and their families for betraying him in the election.
According him, “some of you came to me begging for election logistics to deliver my son who is the APC House of Representatives candidate, and when the funds were made available for you, painfully, you turned against my son and directed your followers to vote against him. I never knew that most of you seated here are hungry saboteurs who only wished me and my family failures. My kind message to whoever that is involved is that those monies collected will turn into poison for you and your families; mark my words.” he stated.
Meanwhile, efforts by some leaders in the meeting to express their minds were resisted by Prince Amadi, as according to him, non of the so-called leaders has what it takes to stop his son from wining the re-run election despite their earlier betrayals in the February 25th Presidential and National Assembly Polls.
It can be recalled that the Labour Party candidate, Hon Uche Ogbuagu had accused Prince Amadi of threatening the people of Mbaitoli/Ikeduru federal constituency with armed security personnel shortly after the election was declared inconclusive.
Similarly, a leader of APC in Achi Mbieri, Mbaitoli LGA, who attended the leadership meeting expressed worry why Prince Amadi would be cursing their people for not voting his son, noting that the said Charlvon goes around with severe curses from the entire Owerri people when he sold OZOPOLF in exchange for monetary value against Owerri zone agenda in 2014/2015.
He maintained that Prince Amadi lacks shame to even approach Mbaike people to vote for his son after he was alleged to have trickily collected over 100 million and landed property in choice areas from a then Governor of the state to betray Owerri zone.
When called for response over the allegation, Prince Amadi’s phone was switched off as at the time of filing this report.
